New Downtown Location

Peter Roise Photography is going to have a new home. Even now the digs are being prepared for occupation. Joel Penney Fine Art Printing and I are going to share a couple of suites (202 and 203) in the upper floor of the building across from Keeney Bros Music Store. Here are couple shots of the street-level view of the entrance. Consider this a preliminary report... stay tuned.

New "Friend Rates"

I end up taking photos at lots of different events, many times because I'm there with my kids. In the course of doing that I get lots of photos of friends and acquaintances. Now you can get some of those photos at a new "Friends Rate" on my web site. So, if you were somewhere where I was taking photos of my kids (and yours) mosey on over to the "Clients" link at my web site and look for your event. Chances are there are some photos there and that you can buy a full resolution (usually 10-20 MP) download with a license for personal use for just $1. Here are some of the galleries that feature this pricing:

Farm Photos

Here's a collection of photos of the Jones Farm out here on the Palouse. I'm thinking about turning this idea into something I do. I have to say I really enjoy the photojournalistic process involved in talking to folks, learning about what they do, and the stories they tell. So mostly I'm just looking for excuses to do more of this stuff. You can click on the slide show to get in and see the photos big and beautiful at my regular site.

Photojournalism

Photojournalism is telling stories with pictures.

Sometimes these pictures fit into a larger story.

Sometimes the story is full of movement.

Sometimes the image is iconic.

Sometimes the picture piques your curiosity.

Sometimes it makes you smile.

And sometimes it makes you look more closely.

Got a story to tell?
